Moe's Southwest Grill Review

Since starting my new job I've been eating at local restaurants in the area on my lunch breaks. I happened to stumble across this restaurant called Moe's Southwest Grill. This place is similar to Chipotle and Qdoba as far as food items goes, the difference is you automatically get free chips and your choice of salsa with Moe's Southwest Grill, where as if you want chips and salsa you get charge for it at Chipotle and Qdoba. Moe's meat is grass-fed steak, all natural white breast meat chicken, grain-fed pull pork and ground beef and they have tofu which is organic; the other two don't have tofu.

I had the salad in a crispy salad shell with ground beef, pinto beans, mild corn salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese and cilantro.... mmm! gotta have cilantro. My free chips had a mild type of tomatillo salsa. I love Chipotle so much but I'm starting to like Moe's too because they seem more healthier in my opinion. If you had Chipotle and Qdoba and similar restaurants, then give Moe's a try.

Colorado Shooting Update

As the days go by I learn more about what may happen at the movie theater and about the shooter that caused a massacre Good Morning America.

We all can say he has a mental problem because there is no way someone can just go into a place, in this case a movie theater and start shooting innocent people. James Holmes dropped out of a neuroscience program, he calls himself "The Joker", unemployed, has an arsenal of weapons and his apartment was rigged with explosive devices. Allegedly he was on medication before the theater rampage took place. Also I heard that a person that sat in the front row answered a text or took a phone call and walked out the exit door to answer or check it, which is strange to take a call out the exit door versus normally taking it into the hallway outside the auditorium. After minutes of that strange individual leaving out the exit door to check their phone, the shooter came in from the exit door shooting.

I found an article saying on June 7, 2012 he purchased a rifle after failing an oral exam that day. The therapist on the article was saying his already underlying mental illness was triggered by the stress from failing and that could cause a dormant schizophrenia, which I predicted anyway just by the actions he took. This loose canon can take it out on people because he was stressed? guess what? stress is a common thing in today's busy world, that doesn't mean to take it out on innocent people by killing and injuring people because you are stressed. PERIOD!!!

So does that means that every time he is stressed out or failed at something he buys more weapons? in my opinion it seems like he can't handle stress very well. Also the guns he was using in the theater required some expertise training and practice. In numerous sources said he was put in a separate cell by himself (solitary confinement) either because the inmates were plotting to kill James Holmes or because he is just a mental ill person with screws loose I'm not sure.

Like I said before I hope they give him life or the death penalty (execution). Those 12 people he killed didn't deserve to die and those 59 people that he injured didn't deserve to get injured.

Colorado Shooting

I was shocked to here what I heard on the radio this morning. Hearing and reading about it PISSED me off. Batman: The Dark Knight Rises movie came out Friday (today), so there was a midnight showing for it. It's one of the most anticipated movies of the summer, heck I would have probably seen it at midnight if I didn't have to work today. But I plan on going some time soon. There was a lot people that went to the midnight showing, unfortunately tragic happened. A freaking gunman came into the theater that is located in Aurora, Co and started shooting people.

Shooting 71 people, 10 bodies still in the theater and 12 are dead. What was the 24 year old James Holmes motive? I have no f_ing clue. I mean, there was no reason to go on a shooting spree on people in a freaking movie theater or anywhere, PERIOD!!! This tool was a graduate that withdrawn from a Neuroscience program at a university. Again this tool went into one of the sold out auditoriums dressed like a Call of Duty person and denonated smoke bombs and started shooting four rounds or something like that into the croud; taking place at 12:39am.

The douche bag shooter was arrested within minutes of the shooting, police found 3 guns; a rifle, shotgun and glock handgun. After getting arrested he told officers he was the '"The Joker" and also told police that his apartment was booby-trapped. His apartment had trip wires, bombs, flammable devices, and whatever else they will find. The thing that stuck out the most for me was, I heard a 3 month old was either killed or injured.

The number of casualties in the theater is the largest in U.S. history. I hope this evil jack ass get life in prison or the death penalty for what he did. He'll get a taste of his own medicine.

All of my prayers and thoughts are with the victim's family and friends that are coping with this tragedy.

Don't flick your cigarettes out the car

It was brought to my attention that it is illegal to flick cigarettes out of your car.

Again, I'm not a smoker so this doesn't apply to me but I know people who smoke that could use some info on this. Indiana State police will fine you up to $10, 000 if you flick a burning cigarette out of you car. This is precautionary to prevent fires and littering. The reasoning of this fine is supposedly someone threw a cigarette out their window and caused a field fire and on an interstate, since there was a drought in the past few weeks made the fire ignite much quicker.

A few years ago a friend of mine told me she was sitting on the passenger side of her car one day, she wasn't driving at the time and someone in the car in front of her flicked a burning cigarette out the window and it happened to bounce from the ground and into her lap, mind you her window was down at the time. I can't remember if she got a little burned or not but it can be dangerous especially if you are on the highway; driving 60 mph and flicking a cig can bounce pretty high up.

I just think that smokers need to be more considerate when it comes to smoking around children, the elderly and now throwing cigarettes out of windows. It's already bad enough to breathe that stuff anyway let alone hoping not to get hit with one in your own car. This fine should also take effect in Illinois too because people throw them out all the time. That's why the manufacturer build cars with ashtrays.

So smokers if you don't want to get slap with a $10, 000 fine in Indiana don't flick your cigs out your windows, it's not worth it.

TCBY I Love You

This past weekend I enjoyed some TCBY frozen yogurt to keep cool in the summer heat. One of my guilty pleasures is frozen yogurt, of course. Last week or so, TCBY decided to come out with Strawberry as their summer flavor. So I decided to try it with their chocolate flavor which was to die for. As for my toppings, I had kit kat, strawberries and oreos to top it off.

Recently, they added a Pomberry Sorbet flavor. What I like about frozen yogurt shops they give you samples of the flavor before you decide to buy. All of their flavors taste just like ice cream.

The Pomberry Sorbet is a mix of blueberries and pomegranate flavors that is a little tart but sweet. I had it with the Strawberry frozen yogurt with kit kat and chocolate chip toppings. The only thing I didn't like was the after taste I had after chowing down on the Pomberry deliciousness. But the subtle flavor of the strawberry frozen treat added a balance of flavor.
I would recommend trying the Pomberry Sorbet because it's a fruity and sweet treat that adds a little tartness to your pallet. There are other flavors to try depending on various locations.

Great Surprise

I've got the best news ever so far this week. I went to an job interview two weeks ago for a Financial Aid position, this position involves assisting students in getting student loans and the likes. There is a lot of customer service and multitasking skills required, so I knew this would be a fit for me because I have several years of experience. The day of the interview started out as a group interview, four people including me, then we were interviewed individually.

I thought the interview went pretty well except for uncommon surprised behavior questions that I wasn't prepared for. I did stumble on some of the questions that was asked of me because I had to think of incidents in the past that I wasn't prepared to answer. To sum it up, I took too long to answer some of the questions. I found out Monday I didn't get the job, so automatic I was very upset because I really wanted that position.

The staffing agency that got me the interview two weeks ago had another opportunity for me, there was an interview Wednesday which was yesterday with the same company but corporate office and similar position but more analytical and internal. This time it was with a group interview of six people, no individual interview just a group interview. So I did some research of the corporate company and the position, I practiced my introduction and possible questions they may ask and the ones they asked me before. Also questions I have to ask them like the position, company, how they became employee there etc.

Long story short, the interview went extremely well and they said they are going to make a decision either the same day or the next. This morning I got the call as I predicted because I tend to over-think anyway. The agency said they want to give me the position and the start date is Monday. I was so excited and very happy in getting hired. Not only was the position perfect for me but also the pay is what I've been asking for, for a very long time. I was given a second chance in getting the interviewing process right and getting my foot in the door.

All of my hard work payed off and it was definitely a great surprise.

Savages Review

I seen this movie over the weekend because it seemed crazy and I like shoot 'em films with action.

The stars to name a few are; Taylor Kitsch (Chon) an ex Navy Seal, Aaron Johnson (Ben) a Buddhist, Blake Lively (Ophelia) the love interest to Chon and Ben, John Travolta (Dennis) a DEA agent, Benicio Del Toro (Lado) a brutal enforcer to Alena and Salma Hayek (Alena) a Mexican Baja Cartel boss.

The movie is about two entrepreneurs Ben and Chon running a lucrative, homegrown business selling the best marijuana out there. According to them this stuff was the best thing since slice bread. All residing in Laguna Beach, CA. Ben and Chon share, and I mean SHARE Ophelia as a threesome bunch. I'm sure a lot of women would find O a slut and some may find the sharing envious; I think it's nasty and weird.

Everything was all good with the threesome until the Mexican Baja Cartel demanded that they partner with them. And of course, Ben (Johnson) and Chon (Kitsch) declined and all hell broke lose. The mercenaries kidnapped O (Lively) to demand a partnership forcing the entrepreneurs to take matters in their own hands by contacting a reluctant DEA agent (Travolta) to take down the cartel.

The movie had action, violence, blood and drug use but I found the movie a little bit boring at times. I thought Benicio Del Toro's character did a good job playing a slow minded, crazy bad guy. I'll give this movie 2 stars.

Doomsday Virus

Today is the day that thousands of people's internet shut down due to a virus (malware).

The FBI advised everyone to check their computers for malware through a government website to see if they have it. If you have the malware virus on your computer then you'll have to contact your internet provider to get your computer cleaned up and running. The shutdown started at midnight, the hackers planted the virus to several thousands of servers last year.

The FBI found the hackers and pulled the plug thus whoever servers were affected by the hackers virus got disconnected as well. Some people were successful in fixing their computers through the FBI website and some didn't, either they ignored the warning or didn't trust the site. I told a few people to go check their computers and they didn't trust it.

I've check mines and it turned out fine, no virus or anything of that sort, thank goodness! so hopefully they can get this straighten out as soon as possible so thousands of people can get on the internet.

Life Is Too Short

I've had a interesting week so far, ups and downs and positives and negatives thrown my way. The jobs are scarce, prices of things constantly going up, family bickering, and not having any emotional support from close friends. I was going to blog about current events but this needed to be address. I believe all things happen for a reason, I also believe these reasons can strengthen us and things can be turned around for the better.

It's been an emotional roller coaster week and I'm not plan on having it this way the rest of the week. Life is too short for all the drama people are causing. Love one another because it might be our last, the whole world could end tomorrow and we all are causing negativity amongst each other. If anyone has issues with friends and/or family talk it out because holding resentment only makes things worse. If I have an issue with someone I'll communicate it with them not talk behind their backs, I'm very blunt and have no problems expressing it. People that know me, knows that I'm very honest with my responses. I like to live a positive, drama free life and everyone should live by that.

Again love one another because life is too short to live with resentment, anger and grudges.
